I always volunteer when I travel. It is such an important way to experience the culture, become part of the community, and meet local friends. As a solo traveler, I make deep rooted connections wherever I go and always have a support network with a wealth of regional knowledge. I most often volunteer with children, teaching my Nature Explorers International curriculum. I have also spent time volunteering with rescued animals, waste disposal projects, herpetological surveys, community development, gardening, biological and anthropological studies and more!
